Award winning short “palm swings”gets release date, teaser
Back in Fall of 2020 I wrote, produced, and starred in a short and I’m thrilled that it’s finally coming to Youtube after a successful festival season. Palm Swings took home “Best Dark Comedy” and “Best LGBTQ Short” at both the Independent Shorts Awards and IndieX Film Fest, and will make its world premiere on October 15, 2021. It features a stellar lineup on independent musicians including Yukon Blonde, Jeffertitti, Black Mekon, Natey, and B11CE as well as and original score by Kyle Lane. Palm Swings was directed by Marques Mallare and executive produced by Brandon Dermer, George Nienhuis, myself, and Bree Essrig who also stars in the film and will be releasing it on her youtube channel. Also starring Nathaniel Moore and Chelsea Frank, with cinematography by DeAngelo Harding and editing by Kyle Boston. Synopsis below:
A bisexual couple take a romantic getaway to the desert, which is turned upside down by a too-clingy vacation rental host and an impromptu threesome with a male friend. Feelings are hurt, tensions rise, chaos reigns...and that's all before they find a dead body in the pool.

Up and coming bands will also be able to submit their music to the panel. Additionally Staypuft will host The Breakdown, a two hour dive into the intricacies of the hard rock/metal scene expansion into the mainsteam and focus on topics affecting the community.
